5 Inclusion Musts
The Inclusion Musts consists of five key aspects: Disaggregated Data, Accessibility, Participation, Capacity Building and Protection Priorities. 5 Inclusion Musts are important to ensure that all inclusive measures are in place. 5 Inclusion Musts are the result of a literature review to international commitments and national policies regarding meaningful participation of the most at-risk groups, in particular people with disabilities, in disaster management. Even though 5 Inclusion Musts are formulated based on the regulations related to the issues in disaster management and disability inclusion, these key aspects are universal and can also be applied to various community groups or other at-risk individuals, such as women, children and older people. Apart from that, disability is a cross-cutting issue which can intersect with other identities such as gender, age, and socio-economic backgrounds.
