Emergency Response Report – Flash Flood Response in Agam Regency
ASB Indonesia’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) conducted emergency response and early recovery on 1-7 June 2024 following the flash flood hit the downstream area of the Marapi Volcano in the Agam Regency of West Sumatera Province and the emergency response status issued by the local government. The response was conducted in collaboration with Jemari Sakato (a local humanitarian agency), Himpunan Wanita Disabilitas Indonesia (HWDI) or Indonesia Association of Women with Disabilities, and Gerakan Kesejahteraan Tuna Rungu Indonesia (Gerkatin) or Indonesia Deaf Welfare Movement of West Sumatera Province (a local Organization of Persons with Disabilities) to provide an inclusive humanitarian assistance, particularly in the WASH sector.
