This comprehensive guidance document is part of the ECT WASH project, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and implemented by arche noVa (AN) and Arbeiter Samariter Bund (ASB), with the support of the German Toilet Organisation (GTO). Developed to strengthen climate-sensitive and universal WASH capacities in 13 countries, the document focuses on fostering a green approach within humanitarian Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) activities.

Serving as a practical guide, it supports ASB and AN Country Teams, their partners, and stakeholders in reducing their office’s ecological footprint. The document offers actionable tips to tackle challenges, align with climate commitments, and implement environmentally friendly practices.
