Emerging from a background in volunteering and community empowerment social activities in rural areas, Ary Ananta or “Anang” is a humanitarian practitioner with over 18 years of experience, emphasising people-centred approaches. He has been with ASB since 2013, serving in various technical implementation and projects management roles. Currently, Anang focuses on monitoring and collaborating with partners, primarily in the water, sanitation, and hygiene sectors, ensuring inclusivity, environmental friendliness, and sensitivity to disaster and climate risks. Additionally, he manages ASB’s emergency response team and humanitarian response partnerships, while also contributing to the global Sphere network. In his spare time, he enjoys adventuring with his family and supporting his children’s hobbies.
