Ary Ananta Prasetya joined ASB in September 2013 as a Project Officer for facilitated projects on community based inclusive disaster risk reduction (DRR). He currently manages the ASB emergency response team and provides technical support to the program and projects level-related inclusive DRR, humanitarian action, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement. He was part of the Sphere (Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Response) and Humanitarian Inclusion Standards (HIS) as a global trainer. He contributed to the development of the Indonesia National Standard on the Resilient Village (2017) and the IASC Guidelines on the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action (2019).
Using his background as a local volunteer during the Tsunami in Aceh 2004 and Earthquake in Yogyakarta in 2006, he encouraged people to put the most at-risk people at the centre as the core for inclusive community engagement in the development, DRR and humanitarian action.
