Fahrunnisaa Kadir, fondly known as MaNis, is a humanitarian practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the social sector. Her main focus is inclusive disaster risk reduction for persons with disabilities, environmentally friendly, and sustainable practices. Nisa has been with ASB since 2009 and possesses expertise in community organizing, training facilitation, negotiation, communication, and capacity building for community organizations and organizations of persons with disabilities across Indonesia. Currently, Nisa is involved in the global ECT WASH program, which focuses on strengthening community and local actor capacities to ensure safer and fairer WASH access as well as improved health and hygiene outcomes.
In addition to her professional career, Nisa is a strong advocate of environmentally friendly and sustainable lifestyles through a bulk store she co-founded that embraces the zero-waste concept. She is committed to contributing to better waste management as part of her efforts to create a greener and cleaner future.
