Increased community resilience in Nepal and Bhutan through improved risk management and inclusive socio-economic development

Increased resilience of communities (and particularly at-risk groups) in Nepal and Bhutan to natural disasters and the impacts of climate change.

12 Wards (NPL) and 9 Gewogs (BTN) (esp. also people with disabilities and older people) generate risk-sensitive sustainable livelihoods

1. 12 Wards and 9 Gewogs provide diversified, sustainable and risk-sensitive income opportunities that also take into account the needs and capacities of people with disabilities.
2. Older people, people with disabilities and members of other marginalised groups in 12 wards and 9 gewogs are familiar with their rights and existing social security systems, and barriers to accessing these systems have been reduced.
3. 12 Wards (NPL) and 9 Gewogs (BTN) have improved risk awareness and strengthened risk management structures and capacities at the end of the project.
